The Radio-Based Instruction (RBI) program is one of the alternative learning delivery modalities using radio broadcast to deliver the lesson using the student self-learning modules (SLM). As a form of distance learning, it is able to expand access to education to students living in the countryside.
It aims to provide learning opportunities to listeners as complimentary learning while using their SLM in the absence of actual face to face interaction. Learners from rural areas reached by radio frequencies benefited for this type of learning.
SDO RBI Masbate province started its maiden broadcast in October of 2020, with the following radio partners; Spirit FM 98.3, Kairos FM 101.1, El Oro FM 97.5, Radyo Kahamugaway FM 106.5, and Radyo Kabag-uhan DZNT 99.1.
