You must find the courage to leave the table if respect is no longer served. More often, we associate contentment with things we can see and count.
Usually , when we love something, our natural tendency is to give until it hurts. We have so much delusions and we keep holding on to idiosyncratic beliefs. Just to justify our illusion and to feed our self-pity, we try to build a deceitful and delusive reality. The longer we hold on, the deeper the claws set in. We’re scared to let go, nervous to feel unwanted and alone. Fueled by fear, we continue the cycle over and over again.
At the end of the day, we gain nothing but bitterness and trauma. Pity is the man, who finds happiness in the hands of other people. If your life is governed by the opinion of other people, you will mimic the shadows of the very people you hated. Every now and then, we need to adjust with people and the situation. But we need to be sure, when it’s time to move on. There are times we need to face a situation and take appropriate actions.
Face it head on, with all honesty and sincerity. But when the other side of the coin you feel is useless, leave your ego, quit and move forward. If we allow people to exploit us physically, mentally, or financially, it will become a cycle of roller coaster tribulation.
