The Learning Resources Management System (LRMS) comprises integrated sub-systems designed to support increased distribution and access to learning, teaching and professional development resources at the Region, Division and School levels of DepED.

The LRMS of SDO Masbate Province envisions a functional LRMS that effectively develops and distributes adequate and varied learning resources to teachers and learners of public schools and Alternative Learning System (ALS).

Its mission is to maintain a hub for all LRMS concerns and provide technical support for teachers and school administrators of SDO Masbate Province.

As we face the pandemic, it poses a lot of challenges most especially in education sector. Different learning modalities were introduced and implemented so that education must continue no matter what. The LRMS takes a great responsibility in providing teachers with modules, video lessons, radio-based lessons and other learning resources for our Masbateño teachers and learners. It becomes a center of learning materials.

It is in this premise that the proponents have conceptualized innovative project which will help develop a localized system which will establish a well-coordinated, integrated, collaborated and corroborated approach in developing contextualized learning resource materials both print (text-based) and non-print (non text-based). The portal can be accessed thru the following URL http://lrms.depedmasbate.ph. The website will serve as the primary source of information on LR matters as well as the division’s main repository of teacher-developed learning materials.

With the collaboration of the learning area supervisors/ school heads, teachers and LR coordinators, this project will be beneficial and essential not only to the pupils but also to the teachers.

This project aims to:

• establish a localized system through a website called LR website in the SDO;
• strengthen learning resource development and distribution systems at the district/ school levels;
• improve instructional and learning materials system through support for the assessment, acquisition adaptation, development, production and distribution of teaching/learning materials to schools;
• modify and enhance instructional and learning materials for implementing Alterative Delivery Modes and Learning Systems;
• improve development and utilization of Quality Assurance (QA) including Monitoring and Evaluation) systems for provision and utilization of learning resources; and
• develop ICT enabled solutions in the schools to support the strengthening of the learning resource support systems

As we continuously improve our localized system, we REV UP to SHIELD today for a better school of tomorrow!
